Described by many as the west coast Times Square of New York City,Hollywood Hotels Articles the Hollywood and Highlands intersection has become the center of neon lights, dozens of stores, Hollywood history and over 10 million visitors every year.  Hotels in Hollywood are abundant and range in value and efficiency for every taste and category of traveler.

The main Blvd that runs through Hollywood is the famed Hollywood Blvd. It is on Hollywood Blvd. that visitors will find the Walk of Fame, Hollywood and Highland entertainment complex and the El Capitan theatre. Across the street from the Hollywood and Highlands complex on Hollywood Blvd is the Roosevelt Hotel. The hotel is an older property dating  to the 1920s. Today the Roosevelt Hotel is owned by the Thompson Hotel chain and is often ground zero of weekly Hollywood parties that include paparazzi and celebrities. The sidewalk running beside the Roosevelt hotel also contains stars from the Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood and Highland entertainment center is home to the Kodak and Mann’s Grauman’s Chinese theatres. At the center of the Hollywood and Highland center is the Renaissance Hotel. The hotel is an all white high-rise that over looks the entire center. Visitors booking a room on the south side will find they have a view of all of Hollywood and Highland, Hollywood and in the distance Downtown Los Angeles.  Walking out the front doors of the lobby guests will be in the heart of fountains, world class shopping, the subway with nonstop service to Universal Studios and Downtown LA and hourly departures of tour buses bound for all parts of LA.

Franklin Avenue runs parallel to Hollywood Blvd and stretches behind the Hollywood and Highland complex. There are a variety of family style budget hotels located along this corridor and all provide easy access to the Hollywood and Highland Center. The Magic Castle Hotel on Franklin Blvd. is family friendly and is adjacent to the Magic Castle where every evening magic shows are performed on an invite only basis-although guests of the hotel are invited for free. The Magic Castle hotel is walking distance to the Hollywood and Highland Complex and Walk of Fame. Running right off of Franklin is a small street called Orchid Drive that ends at the back wall of the Hollywood and Highlands complex. On this street is the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, Hollywood Liberty Suites and Hollywood Orchid Hotel. All of these properties are smaller, no larger than 2 story structures that house clean, efficient, smaller hotel rooms that are a good fit for the budget traveler or family. By being adjacent to the Hollywood and Highlands complex, guests are just steps away from all the excitement of tour buses, Walk of Fame and dining opportunities.

Just north of the Hollywood and Highland complex on Highland Avenue is another stretch of family friendly/economy hotels.  Driving up Highland visitors will always see groups of families commuting by foot from the Hollywood and Highland area to their respective accommodations. Hotels on Highland are the Best Western Hollywood Plaza, Hollywood Heights Hotel, Holiday Inn and Comfort Inn.

The last area in Hollywood housing a number of hotel locations is on Sunset Blvd. All of the hotels in this area are economy and include the Rode Way Motor Inn, Days Inn and Saharan Motor Hotel. Unlike the hotels on and near Hollywood Blvd, the distance from these hotels to the Hollywood and Highlands complex is a mile or more.  The Sunset Strip is located about two miles to the west of this area. On Friday and Saturday nights, this area is often heavy with traffic as there are a variety of night clubs along this stretch of Sunset that bring visitors and club goers from all over southern California. Solo backpackers may find this area of accommodation affordable and enjoyable. However visitors with children and families may not find the area to be the most welcoming compared to the more family friendly hotels of Hollywood near the Hollywood and Highland complex.
