New reports have been released in the last few days that have confirmed what many people have known was happening for the past couple of years. The economy continues to fall in a downward spiral and now that unemployment has risen close to 10% in the nation and poverty levels in America are at their highest in decades,Unemployment Rate Rise and Poverty in America Rises Sharply—Leads to high rate of Health Uninsured Articles it comes as no surprise that there is now a high rate being reported on the uninsured for health care. This is awful problem for the estimated 50.7 million people that were just recently reported to now be without health insurance. This is a rise of 16.7% from the previous year and is the highest reported rise in uninsured ever. This comes as more people are developing diseases, such as cancer, that require medical attention and would bankrupt people that do not have health insurance. I’m not writing this in support or in argument of the so called Obama care, I would just like to write about the facts that people will undoubtedly miss while pursing Facebook or Twitter. This is for the people that need to wake up to what is happening in this country and take enough of notice to do something about the path that we are on. The current situation in this country is deplorable by American standards; people have taken to drink to forget their problems and there has been a sharp increase of DUIs, crime and a rise in the amount of people in the prisons. These problems are not in response to the lack of health care, but as you can see there is a linear line that can be drawn from unemployment to health insurance to crime, trouble with the IRS, and alcoholism. My conclusion to all of these issues—please please, get up from your chair in the office, shut off the television, put on hold your paving of the walkway from your porch to the pool and get out there this election season to change this country around! It doesn’t matter who you support or don’t support politically, people need to take control of this situation and do everything they can to turn around the unemployment, poverty level and lack of health insurance that is troubling this nation.
